- Rock Shoals Kaleidoscope Photo by Beth Thompson In the Georgia Piedmont one can find outcrops of granite. A desert-like environment, many rare plants, mosses, and lichens thrive on the outcrops. The only trees that grow there are cedars. This kaleidoscope’s images all come from a photo shoot of a granite outcrop after a rain.

- Code Pink DC Kaleidoscope Photo by Beth Thompson. This kaleidoscope comes from a women’s march for Peace. The march took place a week before the US bombed Iraq. In the center of the image hands are raised in prayer for peace; seeing those hands always gives me hope. 1000 women held hands around the White House at the height of this march. I participated with my camera in hand.
